It’s still so grey! What direction are mnsw taking. Will permits be given to clubs allowing non local riders to ride, given the recommendation is it minimize overnight travel, ie you are Sydney based but belong to Bathurst, lower mountains, mudgee or lakes and can technically travel up on the day? Or will ridernet be restricting access based on post code/ region? Any thoughts on this yet? Thanks
So this means we can't ride at any of the venues in the Hunter area. Even though we have no cases on the coast what so ever and being in the northern end of the coast.
Let’s go racing SouthGrafton MotorcycleClub

It looks like those that live outside sydney can travel anywhere for community sport....... is this correct??? In regional NSW (i.e. outside of Greater Sydney), existing competition structures or scheduling should aim to minimise the need for overnight travel. If overnight travel is required in order to participate in sporting activities in regional NSW, carpooling or other shared transport arrangements should be avoided. The use of shared accommodation facilities that would lead to mixing of people from different households should also be avoided.
You can see what they are doing. They don't want a lot of people coming from all over the place to attend becuase some areas have more covid cases than others.

$2,000 MNSW GRANTS FOR ALL MNSW AFFILIATED CLUBS
Over the past few months, the MNSW Board have had many discussions around the effects COVID has had on our sport and subsequently our clubs (and their members). Board members have spoken to many clubs individually to better understand their specific needs during these uncertain times.
It has been agreed unanimously by MNSW Board members, that all Motorcycling NSW affiliated clubs be entitled to a MNSW $2,000.00 Grant (to be applied for within the next 4 weeks).
The Grant can be utilized in a variety of ways and up to the discretion of the individual club how they choose to spend the Grant to help their club through this time. All MNSW affiliated clubs have been sent this communication directly. ... See MoreSee Less

IMPORTANT STEP FORWARD FOR NEW SYDNEY SPEEDWAY
Today the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the new Sydney International Speedway at Eastern Creek was submitted to the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment, marking an important step in the projectβs progress. Subject to planning approvals, construction of the speedway is planned to start later this year and is expected to be completed by the start of the speedway racing season in 2021/22.
The proposed venue comprises a 460m clay track with a 345m motorcycle speedway circuit on the infield. The outer track replicates the existing size and shape at Parramatta (incorporating the latest safety features), while the latter is built to international specifications and is capable of hosting everything from Speedway GP down to grassroots motorcycle speedway, karting and vintage classes.

Yesterday we posted the new recommendations for community sport from NSW Health - see full announcement from Sport NSW here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/…
Since posting the Sport NSW and NSW Health announcement (as expected) we have received an extremely high number of calls and emails.
To follow on from yesterdayβs communication, as many people have pointed out it is a recommendation. Motorcycling NSW are not stopping clubs from running events and as communicated to all our clubs we encourage them to continue running local club competitions and Ride Park Days.
The recommendations coming from Sport NSW and NSW Health are designed to stop the spread of Covid-19 in NSW and to ensure it is not being spread by inter-regional contact through community sport. These recommendations are for the clubs to consider and make sure they are doing all they can to keep their members, volunteers, participants and providers safe and healthy.
Motorcycling NSW will continue to communicate with our clubs daily (sometimes even multiple times a day) to make sure they have all the up top date information available. ... See MoreSee Less

Do Sport NSW and NSW Health realise that Motorcycling is not a contact sport?
How do u know what is considered local. Like is there a radius of all the tracks so I'm aware of where we can still go.

I have been speaking to NSW office of sport and there is a meeting with all state sporting stake holders at some point this week will you be attending and advocating for our community to resume our state based competition Motorcycling NSW Ltd

Yesterdays release has effectively shut down the sport and should of been communicated more effectively.

In my opinion MNSW are giving very poor advice as the NSW Health letter states: “In addition, please implement the following updated public health recommendations.” “Please commence implementation of these recommendations by Wednesday 19 August,” There is nothing optional in PLEASE IMPLEMENT or PLEASE COMMENCE IMPLEMENTATION It is an instruction.
So is the PCRA race mmeeting on the 29rh of this month going ahead?
Clear as mud.
