Motorcycling NSW is pleased to advise our community on the appointment of Claire Beech to the role Sport Development Officer. The Sport Development Officer position was recently created as part of the restructure of the Motorcycling NSW operations.
The Sport Development Officer position which Claire has now been appointed to, will work closely with our clubs to get more people engaged and participating in motorcycling clubs and competition more often.
Claire will be focusing on the development and improvement of our clubs, tracks and their facilities. Also assisting with enhancing governance and implementing strategy to grow participation. Furthermore, Claire will be working hand in hand with our Sport Committees to deliver key Motorcycling NSW Championships and events.
Claire will work closely with our Sport and Event Officers in their roles as they support our clubs, members, officials and promoters for their needs as per usual.
Expressing her excitement on the opportunity, Claire added “Waiting to start this week has been like watching the 30second board and waiting for the gates to drop, just wanting to get out there and get started. That being said, I know that a good day riding only happens when the preparation has gone in.”
“I’m grateful to already have met with or worked with quite a few clubs over the past few years, as the moto-mum of 3 junior riders and also as an official. It has given me a keen perspective of the unique and individual challenges each of our clubs and community face. I believe the future for Motorcycling in NSW is bright and I’m looking forward to working with our members to develop innovative strategies to grow and sustain our sport.”
