Unlike most other forms of motorcycle sport, Trial is not racing. It is simply rider and machine pitted against the terrain. Trials requires balance, skill and concentration. One at a time, competitors will ride over an obstacle course of boulders, streams, hill climbs, logs, drop offs, and nearly anything else they can find.
Riders will attempt seemingly impossible obstacles, and in the process perform some of the most amazing skilled and trick riding – including air turns, bunny hops and bouncing the front and rear wheels during turns.
Trial caters for beginners through to the very elite. Whether its riding as a race competitor, for recreation or participation as volunteer, official or spectator there is a place in the Trial community for everyone.

What you need to get started
Trials motorcycles can be identified by their low seat height, soft, bouncy tyres and ultra-light weight. They are small, user friendly and quiet – with many manufacturers making battery electric versions of these bikes. A new trials bike starts at $1300 for a Junior Electric bike, through to $4500 for a Junior Petrol bike, and around $8000 for a Senior motorcycle.
