After returning from its long-awaited hiatus, our 2022 MXStore Motorcycling NSW Awards Night did not disappoint. A night reinvigorated with a focus on providing our deserving motorcycling community with recognition for their dedication, hard work and efforts to improve motorcycling participation and ensure our events can go ahead. The night also celebrated our junior, senior and open riders in each discipline for their outstanding performance and achievement in our sport.
Joint winners of our most prestigious award of the evening Natalie Ferguson and Carlie Roberts were beyond honoured to be named our 2022 Volunteer of the Year recipients, an honour that they are thrilled to share together. When asked about this achievement, Natalie responded with, “I was so ecstatic to see the finalist nomination for Club of the Year for Penrith Minibike Club and then I opened my own emails. Oh my gosh it is such an honour, I was blown away, I don’t do it for recognition, I do it for my Club Penrith Minibike Club. I am so honoured to be up here with Carlie Roberts, I have learnt so much from her.
Alike Natalie, Carlie also responded with “it is an honour, I do it because I love it, I do it for the kids, I do it for the ladies, I think it is important in our sport, this is why I am an official and on the committee. I don’t do it for the recognition, and I have met some truly wonderful people throughout my time of whom I can now call lifetime friends. Standing next to Nat here whom I have known for 10 years, we have shared so much together”.
Motorcycling NSW would like to again congratulate the below award recipients and thank them for their ongoing support and dedication to our sport.
