Motocross is the most popular form of Motorcycle competition in Australia, making up over 50% of all licence holders nationally.
Motocross requires riders to navigate a marked race track over rough terrain. The tracks are usually between 1 and 2km long, featuring obstacles for riders in the form of jumps and ‘whoops’. Mud, sand, and dust are commonplace at Motocross events with races featuring up to 40 riders competing head-to-head over 10 to 15 minute ‘motos’.
Motocross caters for beginners through to the very elite. Whether its riding as a race competitor, for recreation or participation as volunteer, official or spectator there is a place in the Motocross community for everyone.
