Motorcycling NSW is thrilled to announce the induction of Mr Peter Dow as a Motorcycling NSW Life Member, an honour bestowed upon him by the delegates at the Motorcycling NSW Annual General Meeting on May 23. Peter Dow’s journey with motorcycling began in the 1980s with Wesley Wheels. From those early days, Peter has been a steadfast supporter, official, promoter, and administrator of the sport, significantly shaping the landscape of motorcycling in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. Remarkably, Peter has made these contributions without ever riding a motorcycle himself, highlighting his unique passion and commitment to the community.
Milestones and Leadership
Peter’s influence within Motorcycling NSW is profound:
- Founding Contributions: Peter was instrumental in the formation of Motorcycling NSW, playing a key role in drafting the first constitution, laying the groundwork for the organisation’s future.
- Leadership Roles: He has served as Vice President of Motorcycling NSW and was an integral member of the former Motorcycling NSW Properties Board, contributing his expertise and vision to our leadership team.
- Official Certifications: As an accredited Level 4 Clerk of Course and Steward with FIM certification, Peter’s knowledge and skill have been invaluable in maintaining the high standards of our events and competitions.
