2023 MNSW Junior Motocross State Titles Rescheduled
Motorcycling NSW (MNSW) provides the following important update for clubs and participants of motocross regarding the rescheduling and host changes to the 2023 Junior Motocross State Titles.
N.B The following information only impacts the junior rounds of the 2023 Motocross State Titles, all aspects of the senior state titles will remain as originally scheduled.
Following consultation with 2023 Junior Motocross State Titles Round 1 hosts Panorama MCC, it has been mutually agreed that the round that was scheduled to be held at their facility on April 1-2 be rescheduled and moved to a different facility. MNSW supports this very difficult decision made by the committee of Panorama MCC and thanks them for the considerable efforts and investment into developing and improving their facility. MNSW will continue to work with Panorama MCC and support them towards hosting other opportunities into the future.
Acknowledging the lateness of the change – being only one week from the original scheduled date and the impact that this would have on participants, their families and any other potential host club, MNSW have deemed it inappropriate to simply move to another venue on the same date.
Needing to be agile, yet also work within the confines of the very congested MNSW Calendar, it has been extremely challenging to find an appropriate date. Following thorough review, it is impossible to find a clear and unimpacted alternate date for the round to be rescheduled. With numerous open and national motocross events littered throughout this period, in addition to club events occurring similarly, the least impacting and feasible date found to be relatively appropriate is April 29-30.
MNSW acknowledges that this will likely impact some scheduled club rounds within the motocross community. Additionally, we can also confirm that this will also now place two different MNSW State Titles in opposition with each other. The Round 3 & 4 of the MNSW Offroad Championships occurring in Nowra is the same date of April 29-30. Whilst this is less than ideal, in reviewing existing entries in both Junior Motocross and Off Road, we are aware that this will impact a relatively small number of participants.
In working with a number of potential host clubs and this new date now finalised, we can advise that Macarthur MCSC which recently held the Round 2 of Motorcycling Australia’s ProMX has been selected to host this round. This selection also supports the previously impacted Macarthur District MCSC, who had to forgo their hosting rights of the King of MX Qualifier in 2022 due to wet weather and flooding of their facility.
With the above information advised, we can now confirm the 2023 MNSW Junior Motocross State Titles schedule is as follows;
- Round 1 2023 MNSW Junior Motocross State Titles April 22-23 – Moree MCC
- Round 2 2023 MNSW Junior Motocross State Titles April 29-30 – Macarthur District MCSC
- Round 3 2023 MNSW Junior Motocross State Titles May 20-21 – Hastings Valley MCC
MNSW apologises for any inconvenience these changes will and may cause, and acknowledge that all changes made, have been done so in the best interest of the larger community and event.
We appreciate the community’s patience, understanding and support of this difficult decision, and now look forward to providing an exciting and enjoyable 2023 Junior Motocross State Titles for all participants.
