Over my twenty-year career as a CEO and Managing Director, coupled with my decade-long political career, including five years as Deputy Premier of NSW, I have always been driven by an outcome-focused approach and a passion for delivering tangible results.
My journey in politics was deeply influenced by my tenure with the Monaro Panthers FC, where I fought for better local facilities and infrastructure. This experience not only shaped my entry into politics but also instilled in me a profound belief in the power of sport to unite communities. As Deputy Premier, I was privileged to establish partnerships with numerous sporting bodies, collaborating with the government to develop new infrastructure and attract world-class events to NSW. This work allowed me to secure record funding for sporting organisations across regional NSW, fostering the growth of their respective sports.
Throughout my career, I have been recognised for my energy, resilience, and passion. I am committed to instilling these qualities in others and fostering cultures that value collaboration and accountability. I am excited to bring this dedication to Motorcycling NSW, where I look forward to driving positive change and growth, ensuring our sport thrives and continues to bring communities together.”
Lino Parrottino offers strong track record in business and strategic planning. His insights and expertise will be crucial in driving our initiatives and ensuring the growth and sustainability of motorcycling in NSW.
Lino expressed his excitement about joining the Board: “I am honoured to be presented with the opportunity to join the Board of Motorcycling NSW. Throughout my career in commercial property and equities markets, I have been able to indulge in my passion for everything on both two and four wheels. As an avid lover of motorsport from a young age, I have attended numerous events both in Australia and abroad, fuelling my enthusiasm for this thrilling sport.
I am eager to contribute positively to MNSW and the broader motorcycling community from the ground up. My goal is to ensure the organisation’s long-term financial capability and explore alternate revenue streams. By doing so, I aim to make it easier and more affordable for the community to access and participate in the organisation’s activities.
I believe in the power of positive community engagement and increased participation to drive the growth of motorcycling in NSW. I look forward to working with the dedicated team at MNSW to achieve these goals and create a thriving, inclusive environment for all motorcycling enthusiasts.”
Madeleine Bowditch, Chairperson of MNSW, also welcomed the new Directors: “I am delighted to welcome John Barilaro and Lino Parrottino to the MNSW Board. I am confident that MNSW will benefit considerably from John’s extensive experience in public service and leadership, coupled with Lino’s deep understanding of commercial and business.
