Motorcycling NSW is now seeking expressions of interest for the Team Coach of the NSW Junior Motocross State Team.
This position will cover the 2023 Australian Junior Motocross Championships held in Darwin from the 11th-16th of July 2023.

TEAM MOTOCROSS NSW: COACH POSITION
Criteria for Position
- Knowledge of the standards and behaviour expected of an MNSW Official and/or Representative Rider, acceptance for these standards, or the ability to quickly acquire and apply such knowledge.
- The Coach must demonstrate the ability to work within the “Code of Conduct” guideline.
- Possess a minimum active Level 2 Coaching accreditation.
- Be prepared to accept the conditions of the appointment.
- A high degree of initiative and organisational ability.
- Mature judgment and capacity to accept responsibility.
- Good interpersonal relationship skills
- Must possess good oral and written skills.
- Able to demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure whilst achieving objectives.
- Must provide a written plan/outline of team objectives and how they will be achieved.
- Have a current Working With Children Check
Statement of Duties
- To Coach the NSW Junior Motocross Team.
- Report directly to the MNSW Sport Development Manager
- On occasion liaise with the MNSW CEO, and the MNSW Motocross Sports Committee
- Select 8 riders from a minimum of 4 different classes to compete in the Interstate Cup Challenge as per section 8.21.4 Interstate Challenge in the 2023 Manual of Motorcycle Sport
- To arrange a team training session providing direction and developing strategies.
- To liaise with MNSW regarding administrative matters.
- Become conversant with General Competition Rules (GCRs), Final instructions and any other requirements for the event.
- Organise a Team NSW track walk.
- Organise a Team NSW photo ensuring all riders and support personnel are in the correct uniform.
- To ensure the conduct of the team is beyond reproach.
- Submit a written report to MNSW following the event.
