Integrity in Motorcycling
Motorcycling NSW (MNSW) is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity across all levels of our sport. As the recognised State Controlling Body for NSW and the ACT, MNSW enforces the National Integrity Framework and the NSW Child Safe Standards, ensuring our sport is safe, fair, and inclusive for everyone.
All clubs, promoters, coaches, officials, volunteers and participants are required to understand and comply with these standards.

National Integrity Framework
MNSW, in alignment with Motorcycling Australia (MA), adopts the National Integrity Framework — a set of enforceable policies designed to protect the integrity of sport. The Framework includes:
- Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy
- Member Protection Policy
- Improper Use of Drugs and Medicine Policy
- Competition Manipulation and Sport Gambling Policy
- Complaints, Disputes and Discipline Policy (governs enforcement and accountability)
These policies apply to everyone in our sport — from grassroots to elite — and help ensure that motorcycling remains a safe and respectful environment.
Sport Integrity Training
Education is key to protecting the integrity of sport. MNSW works in partnership with Sport Integrity Australia (SIA) to provide mandatory online training courses for:
- Safeguarding Children & Young People
- Harassment & Discrimination
- Anti-Doping Fundamentals
- Complaint Handling
Important: If you’re creating a new SIA eLearning login, note that any past training history from Play by the Rules (PBTR) may not carry over.
Member Protection
Member Protection is about ensuring every participant is treated with respect and dignity and is protected from abuse, harassment, bullying, or discrimination.
The Motorcycling Australia Member Protection Policy forms the foundation for how we build safe and positive experiences in our sport.
Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO)
Every MNSW club must have a trained MPIO (Member Protection Information Officer) listed on their website and available to assist members seeking support.
MPIOs:
- Offer guidance about rights, responsibilities, and available options
- Provide support without handling or investigating complaints
- Maintain impartiality and refer people to appropriate resources
Clubs must ensure MPIO contact details are accessible and up-to-date.
Safeguarding Children
MNSW is fully committed to the Safeguarding of Children in line with the NSW Child Safe Standards. These 10 nationally recognised standards guide clubs and promoters in creating safe environments where children are protected and empowered.
What’s required:
- Child safety embedded in leadership and culture
- Active child and family participation
- Risk management in physical and online spaces
- Ongoing training and documentation
