POSITION TITLE: Media & Marketing Intern
REPORTS TO: Advertising Specialist
LOCATION: Motorcycling NSW, 9 Cooper Street, Smithfield NSW 2164
HOURS OF WORK: 7.5 hours per week
WORK PERIOD: 3-6 months (flexible)

Our Internships
At Motorcycling NSW, we have created a flexible internship program that allows you to work with a passionate community, while collaborating with staff and volunteers in shaping and reshaping the growth and future of the sport.
Our internship program is designed to work with you. It is designed to work both during the semester as well as during the breaks, and we offer 3 and 6-month programs. Our program will allow you to:
- Work in and with a multi-disciplinary sport and gain insights on its operations from the grassroots up
- Sharpen your skills in marketing, communication and combine them with your love for sport
- Identify, create and drive our new digital strategy inclusive of Social Media Management and Website review
- Work with volunteers and key stakeholders on how to communicate effectively and develop communication protocols and strategies
- Assist with the execution of MNSW’s marketing strategy
What You Will Do During This Opportunity
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to maximise opportunities to promote motorcycling and related products and services through digital media
- Research, write and edit digital and social media content, including editorials, social media posts, videos and other related content pieces
- Manage presence in and prepare content for social media platforms of the organisation, as well as look at other related community sites and content seeding opportunities
- Determine and monitor performance indicators for social media programs, including their analysis, review, and reporting
- Review digital media strategies and requirements of Motorcycling NSW and recommend updates to align opportunities and demand
- Assist (if needed) in coverage of motorcycling events including club and state events
Position Requirements
- Completed or pursuing a degree in Communications, Sport Management or a related field
- 1+ years experience in social media/marketing
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- In-depth working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn & YouTube
- Availability during weekends
- Experience with social media and website Analytics
- A working knowledge of image & video capturing, editing and post-production
