Motorcycling NSW Limited (MNSW) provides the following advice to its community and stakeholders regarding retirements and appointments to the MNSW Board of Directors.
Following the completion of a two-year appointment, Ms Kate Peck has now retired from the MNSW Board. Ms Peck was first appointed to the Board in June 2021 and stepped into the position of interim Chair during a very challenging time for the organisation. Ms Peck provided a steady hand along with interim appointees, and MNSW Life Members, Mr Robert McGlinchy and Mr Keith Davies. All three led the organisation through the recruitment of a new Board of Directors and were instrumental in steering the organisation to a successful future.
MNSW Co-Chair Ms Madeleine Bowditch thanked Ms Peck for her significant output and contributions to MNSW. “I want to extend my sincere thanks to Kate, who joined MNSW Board during a period of significant change and was instrumental in shaping the organisation we are today. Kate’s impact and dedication cannot be overstated, and we will all miss her infectious positivity and love of all things motorcycling. I wish Kate all the best, and look forward to continuing to work closely with her, and the wider MA Women’s Committee, as part of our continued focus on growing female participation”.
Furthermore, MNSW is pleased to announce the temporary appointment of MNSW Life Member Mr Robert McGlinchy to the Board. Robert will be assisting the Board during this transition phase following the recent advertisement of Directors. Robert brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Board, both as a Life Member and having previously served the MNSW Board in an interim capacity. The Board would like to express their gratitude to Robert for accepting this temporary appointment, and warmly welcome him to the Board.
MNSW is committed to ensuring effective governance and leadership within the organisation, which includes a strong Board. As part of this, MNSW has undertaken a comprehensive search for individuals who can bring valuable expertise and experience to our team. Nominations for this process closed on July 7, and received a pleasing number of applications. The Nominations Committee has been established and is progressing through the candidate review and interview process, with incoming Directors to be announced in due course.
