Motorcycling NSW is excited to unveil our new leadership team, with Ms. Madeleine Bowditch appointed as the Chairperson and Mrs. Chelsea Cheney as Deputy Chairperson.
Upon accepting her new role, Ms. Madeleine Bowditch, expressed her enthusiasm“ I am honoured to have been entrusted with leading Motorcycling NSW into the future. I truly believe in the work we are doing at MNSW, particularly how we can better promote our sport and grow participation – especially around recreational and social riding, and historically under-represented groups. Together, with the support of our dedicated team, the MNSW Board will continue to work tirelessly with the community to achieve our objectives and grow motorcycling in NSW and the ACT.”
In her new capacity as Deputy Chairperson, Mrs. Chelsea Cheney shared her thoughts on the appointment “I am both humbled and proud to be in a leadership position to collaborate and work both within and for our motorcycling community. As a member-based organisation, I will continue to ensure our members and community are at the heart of our decision-making processes. As an organisation, we have made significant inroads over the last 18 months towards creating a more sustainable and inclusive community for everyone to enjoy motorcycling activity. Whilst it is important to reflect on the progress made, I now look forward to working with Chairperson Bowditch and fellow Board members on implementing and delivering our Strategic Plan – Riding into the Future.”
MNSW would also like to extend our gratitude to Board Member Hugh Howarth, who has stepped down from the Board following the formal appointment of incoming directors Tanya Raffoul, Nathan Hussey, Ian Lieblich, and Alison Wong. MNSW Chair Ms. Bowditch extended her gratitude, stating “The MNSW Board benefited greatly from Hugh’s wealth of experience in working alongside established boards, and we will certainly miss Hugh’s thoughtful and considered approach to all matters impacting MNSW. We thank Hugh for the time and effort he contributed to MNSW throughout his tenure, and wish him all the best in his future endeavours”.
