It is with great sadness that Motorcycling NSW informs our community on the passing of Ian Allison.
Ian was a passionate member of the Motorcycling NSW Motocross Sports Committee and had been since 2018. A competitive rider throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s, Ian was also heavily involved in the popular KTM Trial Tours.
Strong on and off the bike, Ian was also instrumental in the foundation of Heaven VMX Club. He was able to share his passion of racing with his son Trent, both traveling across the nation competing in various motocross competitions.
Motorcycling NSW Chief Executive Officer Daniel Rushworth noted: “Ian was a gentleman and admired throughout the community. We are very fortunate to have had Ian in our sport, and his loss will be felt by those that knew him. On the behalf of the staff and Board at Motorcycling NSW as well as everyone in the community, I would like to extend my deepest condolences to his family as well as everyone who knew him.”
