The best and brightest riding talent from the world of Motocross will be on display this March at the Lake Macquarie Motor Bike Club, with the opening round of this year’s NSW Motocross State Titles promising a weekend of entertainment, top-quality racing and more. Scheduled to be held on the 15th and 16th of March, the much-anticipated event will unfold at the club’s sprawling track located at 24 Cessnock Rd, Ryhope.
An event that is expected to feature over 300 participants from across the state as well as from Queensland, ACT and Victoria, the NSW Motocross State Titles has also drawn a bustling crowd of fans, parents, volunteers and other spectators every year.
A cornerstone of Australian motocross for nearly five decades, Lake Macquarie Motor Bike Club has been a popular destination for motocross fans and riders alike, having hosted many state events over the years, including last year’s opening round of the NSW Motocross State Titles. Along with being named ‘Club of the Year’ at the 2023 Motorcycling NSW Awards, the club also boasts of producing prominent legends of the sport, including the likes of Chad Reed and Craig Anderson.
Dantia, The Lake Macquarie Economic Development Company Limited, has entered into a two-year Agreement with Motorcycling NSW to host the NSW Motocross State Titles in the years 2025 and 2026, within the Lake Macquarie region.
Dantia’s support has been instrumental in bringing the NSW Motocross State Titles to Lake Macquarie, ensuring that the region continues to be a premier destination for top-tier motocross competition. Without their commitment, this highly anticipated event would not be held in Lake Macquarie, denying local fans and aspiring riders the opportunity to witness and participate in a showcase of elite motocross talent.
“Dantia is proud to help bring this event to our City and we are looking forward to welcoming all participants for the weekend,” said Tim Browne, Dantia’s Chief Executive Officer.
Sharing his excitement about the upcoming event, Daniel Rushworth, Chief Executive Officer of Motorcycling NSW, the state governing body of the sport stated: “We are incredibly thrilled to host the opening round of this year’s NSW Motocross State Titles at Lake Macquarie Motor Bike Club’s excellent venue. There’s been a great deal of anticipation for this year’s event among our community, with a formidable set of young and veteran riding talent revving up for the round. On behalf of Motorcycling NSW and our passionate motorcycling community, I welcome you over for a weekend of great thrill and entertainment.”
