Motorcycling NSW (MNSW) is now seeking expressions of interest for two (2) Junior Team Manager positions for upcoming events in 2025.
A Team Manager will be appointed to NSW Teams riding at both the 2025 Australian Junior Motocross Championships (AJMX) and the Australian Motocross Grand Prix (MXGP). Please see further details below in relation to both events.

TEAM MOTOCROSS NSW: TEAM MANAGER POSITION
Criteria for Position
- Knowledge of the standards and behaviour expected of an MNSW Official and/or Representative Rider, acceptance of these standards, or the ability to quickly acquire and apply such knowledge.
- Capacity to manage (i.e. through a documented plan, organise, direct and control) as appropriate e.g. riders, gear etc.
- Be prepared to accept the conditions of the appointment.
- A high degree of initiative and organisational ability.
- Mature judgment and capacity to accept responsibility.
- Good interpersonal relationship skills
- Must possess good oral and written skills.
- Able to demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure whilst achieving objectives.
- Must provide a written plan/outline of team objectives and how they will be achieved.
- Have a current Working With Children Check
- The Team Manager must exhibit good Sportsmanship:
- Respectful behaviour at all times.
- Fostering a positive environment and supporting other participants.
- Upholding the integrity of the sport.
These criteria are designed to ensure that the selected rider and Team Manager are not only committed to the event but also serve as positive representatives of MNSW, showcasing dedication and high standards of behaviour. They also underline the importance of local involvement and dedication to the sport as key elements in the selection process for both events.
Statement of Duties
- To manage the selected NSW Motocross Team.
- Report directly to the MNSW Sport Development Manager
- On occasion liaise with the MNSW CEO, and the MNSW Motocross Sports Committee
- Compulsory, in full attendance at the MNSW Motocross State Titles:
- Round 1 – 15th-16th March at Lake Macquarie Motor Bike Club
- Round 2 – 3rd – 4th May at Dubbo Dirt Bike Club
- Round 3 – 31st May – 1st June at Maitland District Motorcycle Club
- Liaise with the MNSW Office and MNSW Motocross Sports Committee to arrange a team training session.
- To liaise with MNSW regarding administrative matters.
- Be conversant with the General Competition Rules (GCRs), Final instructions and all relevant documentation for the team and event.
- Organise and schedule a Team track Walk prior to the commencement of the event.
- Organise a Team NSW photo ensuring all riders and support personnel are in the correct uniform.
- To ensure the conduct of the team is beyond reproach.
- Submit a written report to MNSW within 7 days of the events completion.
Volunteer Support Program
As this is a volunteer position, with a requirement to attend a number of events this role will be supported with the expenses of the appointed Team Manager being covered including travel, accommodation, and meals.
